Well, there's this horse at my barn that was for sale and he was recently sold. His new owners are coming to get him tomorrow, and they're bringing him to a barn with NO turnout. I just don't think that's fair to this wonderful horse. He NEEDS to be outside, like all horses, he gets tons of energy from standing in a stall all day. He doesn't deserve to be shut in a stall all day, he's really one of the sweetest horses I've ever met. Maybe I just got attached to him, I dunno, but no horse deserves to be in a stall 24/7, all year round. I don't know the people who bought him, maybe they're good people, but I feel bad for the poor horse. I actually didn't know I was so attached to him until I heard he was leaving. Hah, I'm actually hoping he won't load into the trailer tomorrow. I'm too selfish, but he CAN'T stay in a stall all day! And the barn he is going to, from what I've heard, is horribly dirty, and the stalls aren't cleaned too often. Can anyone relate?

Cant you talk to the owners of the horse(the old owners)and tell tehm what you know about the barn?I dont think its healthy to keep a horse inside all day all year.Maybe if they knew the conditions they would rethink selling,if they havent sold him yet

thats not right!!! a horse need to be turned out for not only its enjoyment but its health as well... a horse can become very ill if its not let out!

Nope, I guess it's too late to do anything, he left earlier today . Hopefully (not to sound mean) he'll have so much energy when they ride him that he won't behave, so they'll sell him to a better home. It happens a lot, and I feel pretty bad, but the most I can do is just make the horses at the barn right now as happy as they can be.
